SLEEP MADE SIMPLE | DIGITAL VIDEO WALL #4
Sleep Made Simple (2019) is the second screening of Rabbit Hole video programmin vurated by Gemma Fantacci for the Digital Video Wall. The artwork created by Bob Bicknell-Knight consists of a series of seven individual videos that, at the artist himself explains, "function as succession of adverts for a fictitious unnamed company that promotes wellness and meditation, forewarning of the future of capitalism, digital healthcare and surveillance". Each individual is thus transformed into a fistful of data at the service of big tech companies as they develop new and increasingly sophisticated services to maximize their profits.
Rabbit Hole is the theme chosen for chapter 2023 of DIGITAL VIDEO WALL by curator Gemma Fantacci. Rabbit Hole is an artistic survey of the results of the research of six international artists on the tools offered by digital, invited to present their own interpretation of the theme and occupy the Metronom video wall for a month each.
