METRONOM

METRONOM presents TIME DUST: a solo show of MARTINA DELLA VALLE with a new project dedicated to the memory of time and the image of the things explored through an intangible item, temporary and volatile as the dust.


The artist is inspired by the relief of a family archive consists of materials and objects for its pottery. The maternal grandfather was a potter and his studio have been preserved drawings, molds, dust, figurines and pottery of its production, now covered with dust, the artist re-uses and photographically documented in order to activate a second memory. Martina Della Valle focuses its gaze on the dust settled - a shadow of the time - to tell "in abscence" the history of these objects. It is the outline of the things highlighted by the dust cloud to speak of them (and not their contents), in the absence of their actual presence.
