Pattern, the new review curated by Gemma Fantacci and hosted on the Metronom's Digital Video Wall (DVW), will begin on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. The unique location of the DVW allows 24-hour viewing from the street, transforming it into an urban intervention, a way to redesign and change the street's image.
Pattern is the theme chosen for this sixth edition of the DVW, which investigates how digital technologies and artificial intelligence shape our perception of the self, the body, and personal identity. This inquiry reflects on the evolution of digital aesthetics, questioning whether we are witnessing the consolidation of past ideals or the emergence of alternative forms.
Temporal Portrait by Carrie Chen is the first video intervention in the program.
Simultaneously a group portrait and a self-portrait, Temporal Portrait imagines the moment when transgenerational versions of the artist’s 3D selves gather in spacetime.
