In the context of DIGITAL VIDEO WALL | EDEN, Metronom presents Vello d'oro (Golden Fleece), 2020, by artist Alice Palamenghi.
Vello d'oro is a fantastic narration of the landscape of The Internet. Palamenghi reconstructs a mythology of the Net and its symbols, telling us about the journey of the digital revolution and retracing its iconic motifs, references. The 'end of the Internet' is narrated by the artist with epic tones as an exclusion from the world, an exclusion from history.
DIGITAL VIDEO WALL is the annual project structured into thematic chapters, inaugurated by Metronomto promote the diffusion and experimentation of digital art. DIGITAL VIDEO WALL creates a space devoted to the display and presentation of digital art languages, in order to explore their expressive possibilities and engage with the multifaceted context of new technologies.
The first chapter of the project will investigate the concept of EDEN, a contemporary earthly paradise intended as a luxuriant primordial landscape or a place for the fulfilment of desires. The screened works will decline the idea of EDEN through the expressive methods of digital art.
As part of the program of each intervention, an event will be organized in the form of a lecture, series of projections, thematic focuses that will deepen the authors' experimentation on Generazione Critica's website.
