Martina della Valle (1981, Florence) lives and works in Berlin.
She took her Photography diploma in 2003 at the European Institute of Design (IED). In 2007 she attended the Fondazione Ratti CSAV (Advanced Course in Visual Arts) in Como and took up a residency offered by the Dena Foundation at the Centre des Recollets in Paris. In 2009 she was invited to the Air Onomichi residence programme in Japan and in 2011 she had solo shows at the Kuhn Gallery (Berlin) and in METRONOM. in 2012 was one of the participating artists at Madeinfilandia. In 2013 she exhibited at Galleria Artopia, Milan; Hochstrasse 45, Berlin; MIC, Faenza; MAXXI, Rome. On the occasion of Mois de la Photo 2014, she had a solo show at the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris. In 2015 she was shortlisted at Francesco Fabbri Award in Pieve di Soligo and she partecipated at Festival CIRCULATION(s) in Paris. In 2016 she was invited by Marinella Paderni to partecipate to Drawing Biennale in Rimini and by Officina, Bruxelles for the exhibition La pelle (La peau). In the same year she is artist-in-residence at Nordic Watercolor Museum in Sweden. Her newest series Wabi-Sabi was presented at DryPhoto in Prato. The artist conducted the workshop One flower, One leaf in five different locations: Dryphoto arte contemporanea, Prato IT (2016); Museo Maxxi, Roma IT (2016); AR / GE Kunst, Bolzano IT (2017); Akvarellmuseet, Skärhamn SE and UNSEEN, Amsterdam (2018).
