MARIELLA BETTINESCHI



Mariella Bettineschi was born in Brescia in 1948. 

 

Mariella Bettineschi is a feminist artist who expresses herself through different languages including painting, sculpture, drawing, collage, photography and digital painting.

In 1970 she graduated from the Giacomo Carrara Academy of Fine Arts in Bergamo. In 1988 tooks part in the Venice Biennale; in 2006 she was at the Voyagerinternational exhibition, which crosses the United States (New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Detroit) and in 2022 Paola Ugolini invites her to design the catwalk for the Dior A/W collection at the Tuileries Gardens in Paris. She also takes part in exhibitions and fairs such as: L'era successiva e altri racconti, z2o Sara Zanin Gallery (2023); MiArt (2019), Notturno Più during the Venice Biennale (2019), Arte Fiera Bologna in collaboration with z2o Sara Zanin Gallery (2019); Artissima and Paris Photo (2018); Da Duchamp a Cattelan, arte contemporanea al Palatino (Rome, 2017). Among the publications we can find her first monograph published by Electa (1990), edited by Achille Bonito Oliva, and the monograph Mariella Bettineschi, Un arcipelago mobile (2013), published by Corraini Editore and curated by Francesca Pasini, with a Xion of artworks from 1980 to 2013.
